Anya Marina

This San Diego native is one of the most played artists on my iTunes right now. Her sultry, smoky, raspy, voice is so hypnotic...it definitely puts me in my happy place. If you haven't heard of her before, i definitely recommend checking her out. She reminds me a lot of Lykke Li...just based on her melodies and unique sound. I've seen her live before as well. She opened for Jason Mraz on his last tour. That's actually how I discovered her. Anyway, she's definitely worth the listen.

Winter Essentials

I've spent a lot of time over the past few days browsing online catalogs, trying to gather my final must-haves from winter before they disappear and get replaced by the Spring collections. there are so many things i feel like i need to have now!! but I've compiled a list of things i think i need to get more than any others. I guess you can call it my Winter Wish List.

I'm not the biggest fans of pageants...especially with the recent hype that has been surrounding these kiddie pageants...but it's always nice to see a woman of color win something.

the Oh So Fabulous Beyonce is releasing her first official fragrance...and just by the look of the commercial...it looks like its going to be fabulous. Well it better be, with a commercial this scorching the fragrance better live up to it! i hope it does. I'm always looking for a new fragrance...something to make you feel sexy...ya know?
